SSC Havaldar and Multi-Tasking Staff Recruitment 2022:

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has given an employment notification for the recruitment of the Multi
Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination 2022. SSC has announced new job vacancies for Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) posts on a regular basis. SSC MTS and Havaldar Exam Pattern 2022:

The examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination (Paper-I), Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar), and a Descriptive Paper (Paper-II).

Paper-I (Computer Based Examination):

  • Paper-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi for Parts II, III & IV.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.

Paper-II (Descriptive):

Short Essay and a Letter in English or in any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. 50 (25+25) 45 minutes (60 minutes for Disabled Persons)
  • Paper II will be of the descriptive type in ‘Pen and Paper’ Mode in which the candidates will be required to write a short essay and a letter in English or any language included in the Schedule-VIII of the Constitution.
  • Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature and is intended to test elementary language skills in view of the categorization of the post as Group-C and in view of job requirements. However, marks scored by the candidates in Paper-II will be used to decide merit in case more than one candidate scores equal normalized marks in Paper-I.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) for the post of Havaldar in CBIC and CBN:

Male Female
Walking 1600 meters in 15 min. 1 km in 20 min.
Cycling 8 km. in 30 min. 3 km. in 25 min.
  • Cycling is not applicable for the post of Havaldar in DGPM, CBIC.

Physical Standard Test (PST): The minimum physical standards for the post of Havaldar in CBIC and CBN are as follows:

157.5 cms. (relaxable by 5 Cms in the case of Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, and members of Scheduled Tribes) Unexpanded:76 cms

152 cms. (relaxable by 2.5 Cms in the case of Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, and members of Scheduled Tribes) 48 kg (relaxable by 2 Kg in the case of Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, and members of Scheduled Tribes)
