i). National Girl Child Day is celebrated in India on 24 January. Women and Child Development Ministry celebrated the National Girl Child Day 2019 at Pravasi Bharti Kendra, New Delhi. The programme also observed the anniversary of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) Scheme. The theme of National Girl Child Day 2019 was “Empowering Girls for a Brighter Tomorrow” and celebrating with objectives of generating awareness on the issue of declining Child Sex Ratio (CSR).
ii). Every year January 24th is International Day of Education. On 3 December 2018, the United Nations General Assembly adopted with consensus a resolution proclaiming 24 January as International Day of Education, in celebration of the role of education for peace and development.
iii). Tamil Nadu Government organised the 2nd edition of Global Investor summit in Chennai. The state government would soon unveil e-vehicle policy to give a boost to electric vehicles manufacturing in the state. In the opening ceremony, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was the chief guest. Tamil Nadu government has allocated nearly Rs 75 crores to conduct the event.
iv). Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Pravasi Teerth Darshan Yojana under which a group of Indian diaspora will be taken on a government-sponsored tour of religious places in India twice a year. The first batch of 40 Indian-origin people are at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and from here they will begin their tour.
v). The final planning conference to work out the modalities for Indian Africa Field Training Exercise (IAFTX)-2019 was conducted at Pune, Maharashtra. The joint training exercise is being conducted with more than a dozen African countries & India. It aims at synergising humanitarian mine action and joint peace operations.
vi). Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, inaugurated the 2nd World Integrated Medicine Forum 2019 on the ‘Regulation of Homeopathic Medical Products; Advancing global collaboration’ in Goa.
vii). Piyush Goyal has been named the interim Finance Minister and interim Minister of Corporate Affairs during Arun Jaitley’s indisposition. Goyal will retain his existing portfolios of coal and railways.
viii). Three Indian expats from the UAE are amongst those who won the prestigious Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award the highest honour conferred on Indian diaspora. President Ram Nath Kovind conferred the award on Girish Pant, Surender Singh Kandhari and Dr Zulekha Daud and other awardees at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention in Varanasi. Girish Pant is a social worker, Surender Singh Kandhari is chairman of the Gurudwara Guru Nanak Darbar Sikh Temple and a philanthropist, businessman, Dr Zulekha is founder and chairperson of Zulekha Healthcare Group.

i). ஜனவரி 24 ம் தேதி தேசிய பெண் குழந்தை தினம் இந்தியாவில் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. பெண்கள் மற்றும் குழந்தை மேம்பாட்டு அமைச்சு, புது தில்லி பிரசாசி பாரதி கேந்திராவில் 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டு தேசிய குழந்தைகள் தினம் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இந்த நிகழ்ச்சி Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) திட்டத்தின் ஆண்டு நிறைவைக் கொண்டது. தேசிய பெண் குழந்தை தினம் 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டின் தீம் “ஒரு பிரகாசமான நாளைக்கு பெண்களுக்கு அதிகாரம் அளித்தல்” மற்றும் குழந்தை பாலின விகிதம் குறைந்து வரும் பிரச்சினையில் விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தும் நோக்கங்களுடன் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
ii). ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஜனவரி 24 சர்வதேச கல்வி தினமாகும். 2018 ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 3 ம் தேதி ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் பொதுச் சபை சமாதானத்திற்கும் அபிவிருத்திக்குமான கல்விப் பங்களிப்புடன் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது.
iii). தமிழ்நாடு அரசு சென்னையில் உலக முதலீட்டு உச்சிமாநாட்டின் 2 வது பதிப்பை ஏற்பாடு செய்துள்ளது. மாநில அரசு விரைவில் மின்-வாகன கொள்கையை மாநிலத்தில் உற்பத்தி செய்யும் மின்சார வாகனங்களுக்கு ஊக்கமளிக்கும். திறப்பு விழாவில் பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சர் நிர்மலா சீதாராமன் பிரதம விருந்தினராக இருந்தார். இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியை நடத்த தமிழ்நாடு அரசு ரூ. 75 கோடி ஒதுக்கீடு செய்துள்ளது.
iv). பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி பிரசாசி தீர்த்தார் தர்ஷன் யோஜனாவை ஆரம்பித்தார். இதன்படி, இந்தியாவில் ஆண்டுதோறும் இரண்டு முறை மதச்சார்பற்ற நாடுகளின் சுற்றுப்பயணத்தில் இந்திய புலம்பெயர்ந்தோர் குழுவினர் பங்கேற்க உள்ளனர். பிரசாசி பாரதீய திவாஸில் 40 இந்தியத் தோழர்களின் முதல் தொகுதி இங்கு இருக்கிறது. இங்கு அவர்கள் தங்கள் சுற்றுப்பயணத்தை தொடங்குவார்கள்.
v). மகாராஷ்டிரா புனேயில், இந்திய ஆஃபீஸ் புலம் பயிற்சி உடற்பயிற்சி (IAFTX) -2019 க்கான நடைமுறைகள் தொடர்பாக இறுதி திட்டமிடல் மாநாடு நடத்தப்பட்டது. கூட்டு பயிற்சிகள் ஒரு dozen ஆப்பிரிக்க நாடுகளிலும் இந்தியாவிலும் நடத்தப்படுகின்றன. இது மனிதாபிமான சுரங்க நடவடிக்கை மற்றும் கூட்டு சமாதான நடவடிக்கைகளை ஒருங்கிணைப்பதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
vi). AYUSH Shri Shripad Yesso Naik மாநிலத்தின் மத்திய மந்திரி மந்திரி (சுதந்திர பொறுப்பு), ‘ஹோமியோபதி மருத்துவப் பொருட்களின் ஒழுங்குமுறை’யில் 2 வது உலக ஒருங்கிணைந்த மருத்துவம் மன்றம் 2019 ம் ஆண்டு திறக்கப்பட்டது; கோவாவில் உலகளாவிய ஒத்துழைப்பை மேம்படுத்துகிறது.
vii). பியூஷ் கோயல் கார்ப்பரேட் விவகார இடைக்கால அமைச்சராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார். கோயல் தனது நிலக்கரி மற்றும் இரயில்வே துறைகளை தக்கவைத்துக்கொள்வார்.
viii). இந்திய புலம்பெயர்ந்தோர் மீது வழங்கப்படும் மிக உயர்ந்த கௌரவமான பிரவாசி பாரதீய சம்மான் விருதை வென்றவர்களுள் ஐக்கிய அரபு எமிரேட்டில் இருந்து மூன்று இந்தியர்கள் வெளியேறினர். வாரணாசியில் உள்ள பிரவசி பாரதீய திவாஸ் (Pravasi Bharatiya Divas – PBD) மாநாட்டில் கிரிஷ் பன்ட், சுரேந்தர் சிங் கந்தரி மற்றும் டாக்டர் ஸுலேகா தாத் மற்றும் பிற விருதுகளை வழங்கியவர் ராம்நாத் கோவிந்த் விருது வழங்கினார். குருத்வாரா குரு நானக் தர்பார் சீக்கிய கோயிலின் தலைவரும் சுரேந்தர் சிங் காந்தரி ஒரு சமூக தொழிலாளி ஆவார். ஜலக் ஹெல்த்கேர் குரூப்பின் நிறுவனர் மற்றும் தலைவர் ஆவார்.
