IBPS PO Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2023 PDF Download – Prelims and Mains Examination:

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the official notification for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for Probationary Officers/Management Trainees (PO/MT) XIII 2023.   • Reasoning Ability: This section tests the candidate’s logical reasoning and analytical skills. The topics include Data Sufficiency, Alphanumeric Series, Coding-Decoding, Syllogism, Blood Relations, Direction Sense, Order and Ranking, Seating Arrangement, Puzzle, Inequality, Input-Output, Logical Reasoning, etc.
  • General/Economy/Banking Awareness: This section tests the candidates’ general knowledge and awareness of current affairs related to the economy and banking. The topics include Banking Terminology, Banking Regulations, Monetary Policy, Financial Institutions, Economic News, Current Affairs (National and International), Static GK (Countries, Capitals, Currencies, etc.), etc.
  • English Language (Descriptive Test): This section tests the candidates’ writing skills in the English language. The topics include Letter Writing (Formal and Informal) and Essay Writing on various themes.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2023:

The IBPS PO/MT exam pattern shows the structure and format of the Preliminary and Main exams. The exam pattern is given below:

  • Preliminary Exam: The Preliminary exam is an online objective test of 100 marks. It has three sections: English Language (30 questions), Quantitative Aptitude (35 questions), and Reasoning Ability (35 questions). The total duration of the exam is 60 minutes. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
  • Main Exam: The Main exam is an online objective test of 200 marks plus a descriptive test of 25 marks. It has four sections: Reasoning & Computer Aptitude (45 questions), General/Economy/Banking Awareness (40 questions), English Language (35 questions), and Data Analysis & Interpretation (35 questions). The total duration of the objective test is 180 minutes. The descriptive test consists of Letter Writing and Essay Writing in the English language. The duration of the descriptive test is 30 minutes. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the objective test.
