i). Delhi Government launched a ‘Zero Fatality Corridor’ project under its annual road safety action plan to reduce the number of road accidents on the outer ring road stretch between Burari and Bhalaswa Chowk. This project is aimed at reducing deaths to near zero levels on the Outer ring road stretch. After scientific investigation of a high number of accidents on this stretch, Zero Fatality Corridor was launched.

ii). Actor Vijay Sethupathi launched the mobile App ‘DigiCop’ of the city police department at the Commissioner’s office. Using the App, people can track the status of stolen two-wheelers and cell phones. The details of 18,000 stolen mobile phones are stored in the App. So next time someone is buying a phone from a second-hand shop they can verify if the phone is stolen or genuine. Using DigiCop App, people can verify IMEI, report lost two-wheelers and phones, know the nearest police station, police news and traffic alerts.

iii). The I&B ministry has collaborated with CII is setting up an India Pavilion at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival is being held at Berlin, Germany. The India Pavilion at the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) 2019 was inaugurated by Mr Matthijis Wouter Knol, Director European Film Market (EFM).

iv). The 5th India-Bangladesh Joint Consultative Committee Meeting was held in New Delhi. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Foreign Affairs Minister of Bangladesh Dr Abdul Momen co-chaired the meeting. The last Joint Consultative Committee Meeting between the two countries was held in October 2017 at Dhaka.

v). Ministry of External Affairs and Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) organised Parmanu Tech 2019 in New Delhi to discuss the issues related to Nuclear Energy and Radiation Technologies. The main motive of this conference is to showcase India’s capabilities in Nuclear Energy with environmental responsibility.

vi). Sahapedia in partnership with UNESCO organized the second edition of India Heritage Walk Festival (IHWF) 2019. It is also supported by the National Mineral Development Corporation. The first edition of the festival, went on to receive the PATA Gold Awards 2018 in Heritage and Culture.

vii). Thailand named the tiny, eye-catching, colourful fin plumaged Siamese fighting fish as its aquatic animal with an aim to boost the conservation and breeding of the same. Siamese fighting fish is the native of Mekong basin of Thailand and is mostly found in the Chao Phraya river in Thailand.

viii). World champion Indian weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu notched up a gold medal at the EGAT Cup in Thailand. The 24-year-old Manipuri Chanu won the 48kg category gold with an effort of 192 kg in the silver level Olympic qualifying event.

i). புராரி மற்றும் பலாஸ்வ சௌக் இடையே வெளிப்புற சாலை விபத்துக்கள் குறைக்க தில்லியின் அரசு தனது வருடாந்திர சாலை பாதுகாப்பு நடவடிக்கை திட்டத்தின் கீழ் ‘ஜீரோ ஃபாடலிட்டி காரிடார்’ திட்டத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது. இந்த திட்டம் வெளிப்புற சாலை நீட்டிப்பு அருகில் பூஜ்யம் மட்டத்தில் மரணங்களை குறைக்கும் நோக்கத்தை கொண்டது. இந்த நீளத்தின் மீது விபத்துக்கள் அதிக எண்ணிக்கையிலான விஞ்ஞான ஆய்வு செய்த பிறகு, ஜீரோ ஃபாடிலிட்டி காரிடார் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.

ii). நடிகர் விஜய் சேதுபதி கமிஷனர் அலுவலகத்தில் நகர போலீஸ் திணைக்களத்தின் மொபைல் பயன்பாடு ‘DigiCop’ தொடங்கினார். பயன்பாட்டைப் பயன்படுத்தி, திருடப்பட்ட இரு சக்கர வாகனங்கள் மற்றும் செல் போன்களின் நிலையை கண்காணிக்க முடியும். 18,000 திருடப்பட்ட மொபைல் தொலைபேசிகளின் விவரங்கள் பயன்பாட்டில் சேமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. எனவே, அடுத்த முறை யாரோ தொலைபேசியை வாங்குகிறார்களோ, அவர்கள் தொலைபேசியை திருடப்பட்டாலோ அல்லது உண்மையானதா என சரிபார்க்கலாம். iii). புதுடில்லியில் நடைபெற்ற இந்திய-வங்காள கூட்டு ஆலோசனை குழு கூட்டம் நடைபெற்றது. வெளிவிவகார அமைச்சர் சுஷ்மா ஸ்வராஜ் மற்றும் பங்களாதேஷ் வெளியுறவு மந்திரி டாக்டர் அப்துல் மெமன் ஆகியோர் கூட்டத்தில் தலைமை தாங்கினர். இரு நாடுகளுக்கும் இடையே கடந்த கூட்டு ஆலோசனை குழு கூட்டம் அக்டோபர் 2017 ல் டாக்காவில் நடைபெற்றது.

iv).  அணுசக்தி மற்றும் கதிர்வீச்சு தொழில்நுட்பங்களுடன் தொடர்புடைய பிரச்சினைகள் பற்றி விவாதிக்க புதிய வெளியுறவு அமைச்சகம் மற்றும் அணுசக்தி துறை அமைச்சகம் (DAE) Parmanu Tech 2019 ஐ ஏற்பாடு செய்தது. இந்த மாநாட்டின் பிரதான நோக்கம் சுற்றுச்சூழல் பொறுப்புடன் இந்தியாவின் திறன்களை அணுசக்தி ஆற்றலில் வெளிப்படுத்துவதாகும்.

v). யுனெஸ்கோவின் கூட்டுத்தொகையில் Sahapedia இந்திய மரபுரிமை தேர்வு விழா (IHWF) 2019 என்ற இரண்டாவது பதிப்பை ஏற்பாடு செய்துள்ளது. இது தேசிய கனிம மேம்பாட்டு கழகத்தால் ஆதரிக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்த விழாவின் முதல் பதிப்பு 2018 ஆம் ஆண்டு பாரம்பரிய மற்றும் கலாச்சாரத்தில் PATA தங்க விருதுகள் பெறப்பட்டது

vi). தாய்லாந்தின் சிறிய, கண்கவர், வண்ணமயமான மூழ்கியுள்ள சியாமீஸ் சண்டை மீன் அதன் நீர் விலங்குகளாக அதே பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் இனப்பெருக்கத்தை அதிகரிப்பதற்கான நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டது. சியாமீஸ் சண்டை மீன் தாய்லாந்தின் மீகாங் பகுதியின் சொந்தமாகும். பெரும்பாலும் தாய்லாந்தில் சாவோ பிரயா ஆற்றில் காணப்படுகிறது.

vii). உலக சாம்பியன் இந்திய வீரர் சாகோம் மீராபாய் சானு தாய்லாந்தில் ஈகிட் கோப்பை போட்டியில் தங்க பதக்கம் வென்றார். வெள்ளி மட்டத்தில் ஒலிம்பிக் தகுதிப் போட்டியில் 192 கிலோ எடை கொண்ட 24 வயதான மனிபுரி சான் (48kg) தங்கம் வென்றார்.
