i). The Maharashtra government has set up a committee to review various schemes being implemented for the welfare of tribals in the state. The 17-member committee, headed by former MLA and Shramjeevi Sanghatna president Vivek Pandit, will undertake the study of various works done for providing employment opportunities, minimum wages and proper livelihood to tribals.

ii). The Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone of three major highway projects with an investment worth Rs 2,345 crores in Odisha. The projects are aimed at ensuring speedy development in the state. The three highway projects are expected to considerably improve connectivity of mineral-rich Angul and Dhenkanal districts with the rest of Odisha. The three national highway projects will have a total length of 132 km.

 iii). Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) App has been launched on Google play store. Ayushman Bharat Yojana or Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) is a centrally sponsored scheme; which was launched in the year 2018, under the Ayushman Bharat Mission of MoHFW in the country. This scheme aims at making interventions in primary, secondary and tertiary care systems, covering both preventive and promotive health, to address healthcare holistically. Moving ahead to digitalisation this app is now available on Google Play store.

 iv). Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh announced a high-powered 5-member committee to prepare a comprehensive action plan to boost the dairy sector with the aim of supplementing the income of farmers in a result-oriented manner. The committee would consist of Chairman State Farmers Commission, Director Animal Husbandry,  Director of Dairy Development, a representative of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU).

v). President Ram Nath Kovind presented the Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards for the year 2017 to 42 noted artists in five categories. The awards were presented at a special function held at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi.

vi). National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) of India has been selected as Winner under the Miniratna Category (Category II) by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

vii). India’s 40th communication satellite GSAT-31 has been launched successfully from French Guiana. The Ariane-5 rocket lifted off with it from Kourou Launch Base, and in 42-minutes, placed it in the intended Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit. It was immediately taken control by Indian Space Research Organization ISRO scientists from its Hassan facility in Karnataka. GSAT-31 will provide transponder capacity for DTH television and connectivity to services like VSATs for ATMs, stock-exchanges, Digital Satellite News Gathering DSNG and e-governance applications.

i). மகாராஷ்டிரா அரசு மாநிலத்தில் பழங்குடி மக்களின் நலனுக்காக செயல்படுத்தப்படும் பல்வேறு திட்டங்களை ஆய்வு செய்ய ஒரு குழுவை அமைத்துள்ளது. முன்னாள் எம்.எல்.ஏ. மற்றும் ஸ்ரீராஜிவி சங்கத்னா தலைவர் விவேக் பண்டிட் தலைமையிலான 17 உறுப்பினர்கள் குழு வேலைவாய்ப்பு, குறைந்தபட்ச ஊதியம் மற்றும் பழங்குடி மக்களுக்கு சரியான வாழ்வாதார வசதிகளை வழங்குவதற்காக பல்வேறு பணிகளை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளது.

ii). ஒடிசாவில் 2,345 கோடி மதிப்புள்ள முதலீட்டுடன் மூன்று முக்கிய நெடுஞ்சாலை திட்டங்களை அடித்தளமாக யூனியன் சாலை போக்குவரத்து அமைச்சர் நிதின் கட்கரி நிறுவினார். மாநிலத்தில் வேகமான வளர்ச்சியை உறுதி செய்வதற்கான திட்டங்களை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. மூன்று நெடுஞ்சாலை திட்டங்கள் ஒடிஷாவின் பிற பகுதிகளில் கனிம வளமுள்ள ஆங்குல் மற்றும் தென்கனல் மாவட்டங்களின் இணைப்புகளை கணிசமாக மேம்படுத்தும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. மூன்று தேசிய நெடுஞ்சாலைத் திட்டங்களுக்கு மொத்தம் 132 கி.மீ.

iii). பிரதான் மந்திரி ஜான் ஆரோகிய யோஜனா (PM-JAY) பயன்பாட்டை Google Play Store இல் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆயுஷ்மன் பாரத் யோஜனா அல்லது பிரதான் மந்திரி ஜான் அரோயா யோஜனா (PM-JAY) ஒரு மத்திய நிதியுதவி திட்டம்; 2018 ஆம் ஆண்டில் நாடு முழுவதும் உள்ள MOHFW இன் ஆயுஷ்மன் பாரத் மிஷன் கீழ் தொடங்கப்பட்டது. இந்த திட்டம் முதன்மை, இரண்டாம்நிலை மற்றும் மூன்றாம் பாதுகாப்பு அமைப்புகள் ஆகியவற்றில் தலையீடு செய்வதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டது. இந்த பயன்பாட்டை டிஜிட்டலிசிஸத்திற்கு நகர்த்துவது இப்போது Google Play Store இல் கிடைக்கிறது.

iv). பஞ்சாயத்து முதல்வர் கேப்டன் அமீர்ந்தர் சிங், பால் துறைக்கு அதிக அளவில் ஊக்கத்தொகை அளிப்பதற்கான ஒரு முழுமையான திட்டத்தை தயாரிப்பதற்கான 5 வது அங்கத்துவ குழுவை அறிவித்தார். குழுவில் தலைவர் மாநில விவசாயிகள் ஆணையம், இயக்குனர் கால்நடை பராமரிப்பு, பால் பண்ணை மேம்பாட்டு இயக்குனர், குரு ஆங்கட் தேவ் கால்நடை மற்றும் விலங்கு அறிவியல் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் பிரதிநிதி (GADVASU) ஆகியோர் அடங்குவர்.

v). ஜனாதிபதி ராம்நாத் கோவிந்த், சங்ககநாதக் அகாடமி விருதுகளை 2017, 42 கலைஞர்களுக்கு ஐந்து பிரிவுகளில் வழங்கினார். புது தில்லியிலுள்ள ராஷ்டிரபதி பவனில் நடைபெற்ற சிறப்பு விழாவில் விருதுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டன.

vi). மைக்ரோ, சிறு மற்றும் நடுத்தர தொழில் நிறுவனங்களின் (MSME) அமைச்சு மூலம் Miniratna வகை (பிரிவு II) கீழ் இந்தியாவின் தேசிய திரைப்பட மேம்பாட்டுக் கழகம் (NFDC) வெற்றி பெற்றது.

vii).  இந்தியாவின் 40 வது தகவல் தொடர்பு செயற்கைக்கோள் GSAT-31 பிரெஞ்சு கயானாவில் இருந்து வெற்றிகரமாக தொடங்கப்பட்டது. கோரியோ லாஞ்ச் பேஸில் இருந்து ஏரியான் -5 ராக்கெட் தூக்கி எறியப்பட்டது, 42 நிமிடங்களில், திட்டமிடப்பட்ட ஜியோசைஞ்ச்ரோனஸ் டிரான்ஸ்பர் ஆர்பிட் என்ற இடத்தில் அது வைக்கப்பட்டது. கர்நாடகாவின் ஹசான் நிலையத்திலிருந்து இந்திய விண்வெளி ஆராய்ச்சிக் கழகம் ISRO விஞ்ஞானிகள் உடனடியாக அதைக் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் வைத்தனர்.
